Bena completed her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology degree at the University of Calgary (2014), where she then spent two years working at a private clinic as a Kinesiologist. Shortly after, she returned to school and completed her Master of Science in Physical Therapy degree from the University of Alberta in 2019. She has experience working with a variety of conditions in both the hospital and community-based settings with musculoskeletal injuries (ie. Strains, sprains, post-fractures), and neurological conditions (ie. Post-stroke, parkinsons, MS, etc).
Bena enjoys the challenge of putting together pieces of the puzzle to help determine the most effective treatment plan. She merges her manual therapy skills with an individualized exercise program to work alongside you to achieve your specific goals. Additional training that she has includes trigger point dry needling (IMS), manual therapy courses, vestibular and concussion rehabilitation. She has a special interest in wrist and hand therapy.
When she’s not at the clinic, Bena enjoys running, snowboarding, hiking, and reading a good book by the window.
