Women's Pelvic Health | Dry Needling

After graduating from the University of Calgary with a Bachelors of Kinesiology, Aly completed her Master’s of Physical Therapy at McGill University in Montreal.  Before becoming a physiotherapist she was a competitive dancer and worked as a dance instructor throughout university.

Along with treating many types of strains, sprains, and other musculoskeletal injuries, she is also our women’s pelvic health physiotherapist and has helped many women experiencing pelvic floor dysfunction (pain, incontinence, urgency, perinatal conditions, etc.)

Aly has a special interest in working with women during and after pregnancy.  She is passionate about helping women feel empowered, informed, and supported throughout their pregnancy and 4th trimester. She has taken courses where she has learned about how to prepare for labour and delivery, how to manage pregnancy related pelvic girdle pain, and how best to recover from diastasis rectus abdominis (abdominal separation) and other pregnancy related pelvic floor dysfunction.

Aly uses many assessment and treatment techniques including: manual therapy, trigger point dry needling (IMS), and individualized exercise prescription to help you reach your physiotherapy goals and get back to the activities you enjoy.

Outside of the clinic Aly loves snowboarding, skiing, and spending time with her family and French bulldog, Stella.
